The weather was pleasant but I kept an eye on the rolling mist following up behind me. Still have a few adjustments to make to the gear cables but I'm very pleased with the changes. The gear ratios might not suit everyone but for touring I'll be able to climb any hill with a heavily loaded bike without risking a heart attack. It's a strange sensation to be pedalling with a cadence of 60-80 rpm on a steep hill with minimal effort at a speed of 3mph. It's a lot easier than walking! Cycled 20 mile ... that's a third of my proposed daily distance. Still lots of training to do.
