Still in Yonkers

What a change in the weather ... it's now raining 'cats and dogs' ... real heavy stuff with thunder and lightening. Haven't been outside yet to feel the temperature but expect it to be around 25C (mid-day) which is nice. Just noticed that the date/time stamp shown on the blog postings is BST (UK time) and not local ... I might tinker with the settings? Dunno yet. Local time here is Fri 17, 06:30 ... have to programme myself to get up early and get to bed early too. I'll post some pics of Archie later. 11:00 Cycled down to the local bike shop to ask them to inflate the tyres really hard ... my pump gives up to 50 psi but what I really need is 70-75 psi ... it makes a difference. The guys were extremely helpful and for once they didn't charge


12:00 On my return Archie was ready for his walk so off we truddled with the pram to the T-mobile store, a few miles away, to get my data connection sorted out for the iPhone. Magic! The guy behind the counter was really knowledgeable and helpful ... in a few minutes we got things up and running ... easy, just the way it should be. On the walk back called into the park to feed Archie. He was getting plenty of compliments and returned smiles to all around. Managed to get him to sleep on the way up to the house but unfortunately he woke up just as I was transferring him into the cot ... ah well, no day is going to be perfect but this was a good one. Missed all the thunder showers but it's very humid.
