Wakened at 05:30 ... my body clock is programmed now! Weather is warm, humid but overcast and with luck I should get a bit a lovely rain. I'm bloated drinking too much water and don't feel hungry enough to eat a proper meal ... but I must stop off at the next town and have a foot long sandwich and Gatorade! Still in Amish country with big prosperous farm houses and rolling hills ... nice countryside but not as nice as home! Talking to plenty of locals ... all pleasant and worth talking too ... 25 miles behind me and going well ... having problems loading images ... need to have a very good connection. Boalsburg lays claim to starting Memorial Day commenerations... well that's what it says on a poster outside the Penn Military Museum ... some nice outside displays of tanks in the woods and big guns all around. Think I'll hang about for a few hours, have a nap, charge the phone and wait till it cools off a bit ... finding it difficult making myself understood when I asked for a cheese and egg sandwich with tomato slices on top ... yep, you can guess what the problem is? Had a great chat with, Roger, in a McDonalds while my phone was charging ... he was heavy into the bible and made a good effort to see the error of my ways! ... however I couldn't cut through the gobbledygook and we parted ways amicably! Passed the time nicely. Last run of the day down to Phillipsbourg and I'll have clocked up my 60 mile. Part of the run down was on interstate 99 ... I think it was legal but the wide, dirty, hard shoulder wasn't to my liking and the roar of the traffic wasn't nice music. I've had my fair share of long gradual hills which aren't difficult to take but they do slow me down an awful lot. Last task of the day is to go a few miles out of town and get a comfy spot to pitch the tent. Raining at the moment, but that won't last ... I fancy a golf course and hide among some decorative conifers. Today was a good day and I'm feeling more confident ... just have to sort out a more sensible eating regime! Regards to all ... got your messages Paul, Moira and Kevin. Thanks

Hey Josepth! Greetings from Brea, California. It's good to see your progress. If you are having trouble with TOE-MAY-TOE, just order a "B.L.T." (bacon, lettuce and tomato)sandwhich with cheese and an egg in it. They will still look at you strangely, but it will be close to what you want. You'll probably start a new trendy sadwhich craze as you go across the states- it will be called and "Old Joe on a Bike."
Best Regards,
Kelly and Alexandra
