Up early again ... it's the best part of the day despite the mist and slight drizzle. I understand why this place is called Mt Pocono ... I've done nothing but climb hills for the last few hours ... any downhill runs are short lived and don't count! Sitting in a McDonald's making use of their free Wifi ... drinking as much soda as you want for a dollar. The bike is outside up against the window and in full view.
Navigation today might be a bit tricky so I'll take care and hopefully not make any mistakes.
13:00 EST
Stopping off for a spot of lunch .. a roll, cheese with a big dash of honey! Ewan would just love it and wash it down with Gatorade! Completed 42miles through some nice undulating countryside ... saw a few deer and all kinds of strange birds ... I'm really taken on with the smooth surface of the roads ... and I've my own hard shoulder too. You have to be careful though as potholes appear out of nowhere and sometimes there' cam be lots of debris ... Ooops hang on ... Maurita is Skyping ... this iPhone is just magic and it's making the trip more fun.
Had my first shave in 3 days ... Washed and sort of cleaned up in a small lake near Hazelton(?)
Scenery has changed a bit and I'm now into farmland ... lots of advertisement boards with 'Amish' on them but haven't seen anything unusual ... other than a bank sign board saying that this afternoon temperate was 82F ... or maybe that was the interest rates for new borrowers!

Passed over the Susquehanna River into the market town of Berwick. Done my 60 miles but I've still got time to get further down the flatish road. Lots of roadkill about ranging from skunk, big tortoise, lots of squirrel and many colourful birds. Met a farmer today who was collecting wild mulberries ... look like black raspberries and tasted nice ... Strange plant to find in PA?
Continued on to the pretty town of Bloomsburg and set up my tent behind a church beside the cemetery ... nice short grass and very peaceful. I've done 75 miles today in under 8 hours and feeling strong. The fireflies put on a great show last night ... hundreds of them ... really beautiful sight ... like moving LEDs.
